Your data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption and security practices. We use Supabase for data storage, which provides enterprise-grade security. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

5. Browser Extension

Our browser extension only accesses webpage content when you actively click to save a recipe. The extension does not track your browsing history or collect data from pages you visit without your explicit action.

6. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • Supabase: Database and authentication
  • Vercel: Hosting and deployment
  • OpenAI: Recipe parsing and ingredient categorization (recipe content only, not personal data)
  • Plausible Analytics: Privacy-friendly website analytics (see section 6.1 below)

6.1 Analytics

We use Plausible Analytics to understand how our service is used. Plausible is a privacy-friendly analytics service that:

  • Does not use cookies - No cookie consent banner needed
  • Does not track personal data - No collection of IP addresses, device fingerprints, or personally identifiable information
  • Does not track users across websites - Each visit is independent
  • Is GDPR, CCPA, and PECR compliant by design
  • Is open source - The code is publicly auditable

We collect anonymous, aggregate usage data such as page views, feature usage patterns, and general traffic statistics. This helps us understand which features are most valuable and where to focus improvements. No personal information is collected or stored through our analytics.
